Welcome to Saint Mark’s Church Outreach. We seek to aid those beyond the doors of our church (Outreach) as well as within our own community (In Reach). We are always looking for ways to help and this page is a place to find resources you might need as well as find ways to volunteer and make suggestions.

Ways to get involved in Outreach at St. Mark’s Church

Following are some ways to get involved in outreach activities at St. Mark’s:

1) Help Stock and Clean the Community Free Fridge–If you are looking for a way to help in outreach at Saint Mark’s Church, look no further than the Community Free Fridge in the back of our parking lot! Donations are always needed of both perishables and non-perishable items. Our web page contains the few rules (no glass containers, no raw meats, no home-prepared meals, no expired food, as well as frequently needed items.

Help is also needed to keep the fridge and pantry clean and to make sure that expiration dates are good. Our amazing youth group has forged ahead setting up a cleaning schedule every other Sunday, so our help is requested on the alternate weeks.

Sunshine Group

The Sunshine Group serves the members of Saint Mark’s community. We maintain a freezer of meals in our Parish Hall, write cards to parishioners for various occasions and organize events for our senior members.  Please see our page: https://stmarks-sb.org/sunshine/

Southborough Food Pantry

The Southborough Food Pantry is a collaboration between the five churches in Southborough to provide food to members of the community living with food insecurity. Established in 1990, the SFP is housed at Pilgrim Church. The SFP currently serves 72 families and 169 clients. Clients shop at the Pantry on Thursday evenings or Friday mornings. Inventory is procured through community food donations, purchases made with monetary donations, the Worcester County Food Bank and other community organizations. There are two representatives of St. Mark’s on the United Parishes Lay Council and a number of St. Mark’s members are volunteers at the Southborough Food Pantry. Our Father’s Table

Our Father’s Table is a local organization dedicated since 1986 to feeding the hungry in our community.  There are currently 19 organizations committed to providing a hot meal to guests two evenings each week at the Rivers of Living Waters International Ministry, known as MIRAV, in Marlborough.  A group of  7-9  volunteers from St. Mark’s have prepared and served a meal four times a year at OFT for more than 15 years.  Volunteers welcome the opportunity for fellowship amongst the volunteers as well as extending God’s love to our guests.
