Dinner Church

Join us for a Simple, Sacred Meal

The earliest gatherings of disciples took place around a table. People of faith would gather, share a simple meal, sing songs, hear sacred texts, pray, and both express their thoughts and listen to others about the life of faith. These followers of Jesus recognized that he often ate with his disciples as he shared the good news of the kingdom.

At St. Mark’s, we do a similar practice. On the first Sunday of the month, we gather at St. Mark’s Parish Hall at 6pm for Dinner Church. We begin by making a simple menu with one another in our kitchen and set up the space for worship. We light candles and sing. We partake in Holy Communion, and then break bread with one another. We end with prayers, cleaning up, and dessert.
